The novel spherical nucleic acid (SNA) drug, developed by Chad Mirkin and Alexander Stegh of Northwestern University for use against the deadly brain cancer, glioblastoma, is shown in early clinical trials to penetrate the blood-brain barrier and trigger the death of tumor cells in humans.

CBC Information Session for the Accelerator and Catalyst Award Programs
The CBC is currently accepting applications for 2 award programs. Each program offers up to $250K to recipients of each award. The Accelerator Award provides funding for translational research and the Catalyst Award provides funding for high-risk/high-reward, cutting edge, basic biomedical research.

The CBC is hosting an information session via ZOOM webinar to provide details regarding these award programs, including the application process, eligibility for the awards, the review process, important dates associated with the programs and the Request for Applications (RFA).
