COVID-19 Response Awards
Applications are not being accepted.
The COVID-19 Grant Program ran from 2020 until August 2022. Shortly after the start of the pandemic, the CBC leadership challenged investigators at the three CBC institutions by pledging a total of $1.5 million to fund three research projects that would address urgent COVID-19-relatyed problems and encourage collaboration among faculty at the CBC universities. The COVID-19 Response program was executed in a record time of three mobnths.

HTS Awards
Applications are not being accepted.
High Throughput Screening (HTS) Supplemental Grant Program ran from 2013 until November 2016. The Program aimed to help fund discovery of innovative small-molecule probes and “hits”. The intent of this program was to support pilot projects, which are focused on biomedically-relevant targets and which would be conducted at a HTS core facility located at one of the CBC universities. The CBC HTS Award would match half of the justified expenses (up to $20,000) of a small molecule screening project, via payment to the specified HTS facility.

Postdoctoral Awards
Applications are not being accepted.
CBC Postdoctoral Research Grant Program ran from 2014 until August 2016. The Program aimed to fund innovative research conducted by postdoctoral fellows under the supervision of their faculty advisor/mentor in core research facilities at the CBC universities. Grants provided up to $15,000/18 months and the majority of the funding had to be used for work in a core research facility (facilities) at CBC universities.

Scholars Program
Applications are not being accepted.
The program ran from 2010 until June 2016. The goal of the CBC Scholars Program was to recruit outstanding advanced graduate students into a leadership forum that would foster collaboration and excellence on the three CBC campuses.

Exploratory Workshops
Applications are not being accepted.
The program ran from 2011 until April 2016. The intent of the CBC Exploratory Workshops was to bring together small groups of faculty members who were interested in making interdisciplinary and inter-institutional connections around cutting-edge research areas.

Lever Awards

Lever Award Program ran from 2006 until July 2014. The Program provided matching funds to collaborative teams requesting federal funding of $10 million or more.
