Education and outreach are important aspects of the CBC mission. Over the years, the CBC has organized and hosted multiple educational opportunities that bridge institutional boundaries and are open to all members of the CBC research community. Additional educational opportunities sponsored by the CBC include the CBC Scholars Program and the CBC Exploratory Workshops Program. The goal of the CBC Scholars Program is to recruit outstanding advanced graduate students into a leadership forum that will foster collaboration and excellence on the three CBC campuses. The intent of the newly developed CBC Exploratory Workshops Program is to bring together CBC university faculty members that are striving to make interdisciplinary collaborative connections around cutting-edge research areas. 10th ANNUAL CBC SYMPOSIUM

The 10th Annual CBC Symposium, will be held at Northwestern University on Friday, October 12, 2012. The10th symposium will focus on the area of epigenomics.

Jason Brickner (NU), Alex Ruthenburg (UChicago), Tom Diekwisch (UIC) are joining forces with Shohei Koide (UChicago CBC Scientific Director) to organize this scientific event. The organizational committee has recruited three outstanding external keynote speakers: Steven Henikoff (Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center), Tom Misteli (National Cancer Institute, NIH) and Joanna Wysocka (Stanford).As additional information becomes available, it will be posted on the CBC webpage.
