Increased Funding and New Deadlines for 2016 Award Programs
Catalyst Award Program
Eligibility:
Applicants must be tenured or tenure-track faculty with research programs at the CBC universities who will jointly engage in collaborative research. Research proposals must have Co-Principal Investigators from at least two of the CBC universities.
Funding:
The CBC Catalyst Award program will increase the award size to up to $250K over 2 years.
Key dates for the Winter 2016 Catalyst Award program:
Online Submissions Open: January 11, 2016
Proposal Submission Deadline: January 15, 2016
Expected Decisions: April 15, 2016
Anticipated Start Date: June 1, 2016
Postdoctoral Research (PDR) Grant Program
Eligibility:
Only postdoctoral fellows at NU, UIC and UChicago are eligible for this program. Letter of Intent (LOI) is required prior to submission of the application.
PLEASE NOTE: The funding period for the CBC PDR Grant Program has been extended to a maximum of 18 months and No Cost Extensions (NCE) will NOT be allowed.
Funding:
Up to $15,000 over 18 month funding period.

LOI Submissions Deadline: January 29, 2016
Proposal Submissions Open: February 8, 2016
Proposal Submission Deadline: February 12, 2016
