RESEARCH INTERESTS:
My research interests are focused on understanding the process of follicle maturation in the ovary. In particular, I am investigating the action of IGFs in granulosa cells of ovarian follicles, and what role they may play in follicular development. Beyond studies in rodent models, I am collaborating with the in vitro fertilization (IVF) lab at University of Illinois Medical Center to study IGF action in human granulosa cells. With better understanding of processes occurring throughout follicular development, better treatment options could be developed and prescribed to enhance the success of procedures, such as IVF, that aim to improve the chance of successful pregnancy in patients.
